A complaint was registered at District Police Office Rupandehi on September 19 against 22-year-old Aftab Fakir of Rohini rural municipality-2 on the charge of raping an 18-year-old girl.

In the complaint, the victim reported that Aftab raped her at Hotel New Point in Devkotachowk of Bhairahawa on July 30. 

According to DSP Birendra Bahadur Shahi of DPO, police have started an investigation into the incident by registering the victim's complaint. Police are looking for the accused who remain on the run.
