The Agriculture and Veterinary Rights Protection Committee announced the program of protest at a press conference on Sunday against the decision of the Finance Ministry to replace the current technicians at the local units. The technical staff has announced to hold a sit-in before the Department of Agriculture and Animal Services from September 23 to 27 demanding the dismissal of the Finance Ministry's decision.
Meanwhile, the police, on September 23, had intervened the sit-in program in front of the Agriculture and Animal Services Department. Police later arrested 51 of the protestors and released them on Monday evening.
