Rahesh Sharma, a man from Pakali of Itahari Sub-Metropolis-17, murdered 32-year-old wife Punam Sharma and 6-year-old daughter Swastika Sharma before committing suicide on the Bijaya Dashami day of Dashain. Police found the dead body of Punam inside a box and that of Swastika in a Sack. Rajesh's dead body was found hanging from the ceiling.  It has been guessed that Punam was killed with an assault on her head with a sharp object, while Swastika was killed by twisting the neck. Rajesh and Punam had internal issues for a long time. Police are further investigating the incident, said DSP Binod Sharma.
