Locals protesting the decision of shifting Gunjnarag Veterinary Center 'A' from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18, Sahari Clinic Tole to Bharatpur-20. Agitated locals chanted slogans and picketed the care center on Wednesday.
According to Tukman Gurung, Chairperson of Sahari Clinic Tole Development Corporation, the farmers of the area are saddened by the decision of shifting the care center to Agriculture and Veterinary Department of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
Secretary of the Milan Club Kul Prasad Khanal said it was sad to see the transfer of services through passing the registration of 1.8 Kattha land belonging to the Milan Club to the Government of Nepal in the name of the Veterinary Center. Local residents would be in retaliation if there is a conspiracy to move the veterinary center.
Deputy Animal Care Technician Mangal Prasad Chaudhary of the Gunjanagar Veterinary Center said that the veterinary center will not shift and a new veterinary center will be established in Bharatpur-20.
