A  single woman has been raped in the Parsa Rural Municipality near the Indian border in the Sarlahi district.

Kailash Mahato of Parsa Rural  Municipality-6 has raped the single woman when she was alone at her home. Police Post of Parsa informed that the accused Mahato is absconding and  further investigation is underway, including the search for the accused.

The victim alleged police post of not filing a complaint. According to the victim's family, the accused got a chance to abscond after the police post did not file a complaint against him.

After the police neglected, the victim was able to file a complaint on Tuesday with the help of Sambridhi youth club members.

Members of the club said a complaint was filed only after the protest was made in front of the police post.

Police said further investigation are carried on.
