A woman has been rescued from a house in Sarlahi's Ishwarpur Municipality-1, Pokhariya.
A human rights team has rescued Nurjaha Khatun, a 22-year-old woman, on Saturday afternoon, who was kept as hostage in a room by her husband and in-laws.
According to the victim, she was locked in the room for 11 days without providing food to eat. Victim sides reached to human rights activist for justice after knowing that the victim is being tortured by her husband and in-laws.
Sarlahi District Coordinator of Human Rights Network, Mukesh Mishra said that the victim was rescued by human rights activists, women rights activists, police and people's representatives.
