A boy has died after being hit by a bus at Battaar Bazaar in Nuwakot. 6-year-old son of Pratap Tamang, Yunik Tamang, of Tarakeswar rural municipality-6, Gosryang, died after the bus bearing the plate number Ba 4 Kha 7504 of Kerung Transport hit the boy, according to the District Police Office.
Locals have beaten the bus driver and have vandalized the bus. The injured driver is being treated at a local health institution, police said. Police fired five cells of teargas to disperse the crowd after the deceased's relatives tried to burn the bus.
The relatives of the deceased child have also closed the Bataar Bazaar, demanding a strict action against the guilty and compensation to the victim's family.
