Police on October 15 arrested 25-year-old husband Bhum Bahadur Somai on the charge of beating his 18-year-old wife Khagisara Somai of Gizindanda in Rampur Municipality-4.
The victim has alleged that the accused has been beating her on a daily basis since September 26. The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on October 14.
Khagisara is undergoing treatment at Lumbini Medical College Prabhas since October 14 said DSP Krishna Raj Sapkota of the District Police Office. The injured Khajisra has sustained injures in the head and face.
According to the victim, there is a dispute over the suspicion that his wife was found with a man soon after returning to his home in connection with foreign employment.
