The locals staged a demonstration protesting the inaction from the authorities towards the removal of occupant shops from more than one ropani land of Duimaju Guthi situated in between Khulllamanch and Ratnapark which is illegally controlled by the land mafias. 

They protested on October 23 demanding the immediate cancellation of the business pact in the Guthi area and the halt of exploitation of Duimaju Guthi. The land mafia sublet the land for 15 thousand rupees and collect 15 to 20 thousand rupees from 32 shops per month. The third-party subletting is prohibited as per the agreement with Guthi.
