The Viswa market, known as the main market for the rural area of Parsa, has been closed for two days.
The entrepreneurs under the leadership of the Viswa Grocery Trade Association have closed the market saying that the police have terrorized the entrepreneurs.
According to Ganesh Prasad Jaiswal, president of the Viswa Trade Union, the entrepreneurs came to strike after the Parsa Police started harassing the entrepreneurs by taking control of the goods taken from Birgunj to Viswa.
The entrepreneurs of Viswas were outraged when the police office of Pokhari took control of the goods of 11 shopkeepers on Thursday night.
Spokeswoman Anantaram Sharma said that those arrested goods items were smuggled, so police took control of those goods.
