7 Dalit families of Gaushala Municipality-5 Shivabhakti have faced discrimination while celebrating Chhath festival on the bank of Soni river. They were discriminated by 28 Non-Dalit families living in the same place.

According to the Dalit families they were threatened not to perform Chhath prayers at the same side of the bank as the Non-dalit families. The Non-dalit families built prayer sites on good spot of the river bank on Friday by threatening the Non-Dalit families.
