Police arrests youth from Kalikot on domestic violence charge

Police on November 3 arrested 19-year-old Sher Bahadur Shahi of Raskot Municipality-5 Syuna on the charge of beating his wife 20-year-old Dhirendra Bam Shahi.
Police arrested Sher Bahadur on the basis of a complaint filed by his wife on November 3 at District Police Office Kalikot accusing him of verbally abusing and beating her almost everyday from October 30. Police arrested him from his home and are holding him into custody for further investigation said inspector Yagya Bahadur Joshi of DPO Kalikot.
The woman underwent medical treatment at a medical in district headquarter Manma.
