A man from Karjanha Municipality-2 murdered his wife during a conflict that emerged on the issue of buying meat for food on Wednesday morning. The husband, Rambabu Pashwan, had asked his wife, Kabitadevi Paswan, money to buy meat but they got in a conflict which escalated to murder when the wife denied, said Rambabu Paswan, the spokesperson of Siraha District Office. 

Paswan had assaulted his wife with an axe in different parts of the body, which led to the victim's death on the spot, further added Bohara. 

The police have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding perpetrator.
