A woman and her two-year-old daughter have been found dead in Shivanagar, Birgunj metropolitan city-12 of Parsa district on Tuesday morning. Police suspect that they were murdered.
Police have not revealed the names of the deceased. However, the mother is said to be in her mid-20s. They were residing in a rented room of local Mohan Jha’s house.
After the bodies decayed and stank, the landlord had informed Shreepur-based ward police post. Then, a police team deployed from the post under the command of police inspector Chakra Bahadur Malla had found the bodies wrapped in a cloth. Police say they must have been murdered a few days ago.
Meanwhile, the woman’s husband, who was a painter by profession, is out of contact since the incident.
