Haruwacharuwa (Bonded Laborers) staged a rally in Rajbiraj Municipality on December 10 demanding that their eight-points demands be met. The rally rounded the city area and submitted a memorandum to the provincial and the federal government through the District Administrative Officer Ananda Thakur. Their demands include the dissolution of all their loan, appropriation of budget to address the problems of Haruwacharuwa, the guarantee of land and shelter after their freedom from bonded labor, capacity building programs, and allocation and enforcement of the minimum wage.
