The victim's side has accused the police of refusing to take a complaint of rape. The victim's party made the allegation while holding a press conference in Toulihawa on December 12. The victim accused 22-year-old Ajhar Teli Musalman of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-2, Bheiskunda of raping a 16-year-old girl by luring her on December 4.
According to the victim, she was raped for three days by making hostage. After the news of the disappearance of a girl spread in the village, Azhar absconded leaving the victim in the Lumbini area of Rupandehi district.
The victim side that they went to District Police Office to file complain but the police returned them suggesting them to file the complaint at the Lumbini area since the incident took place in that region.
SP Shamser Jabra of the District Police Office said that the incident took place at Rupandehi so they are sent where the incident took place.
