Police, on December 14, arrested 48-year old man on the charge of assaulting a 45-year-old wife Jayrupa Rokaya of Jagdulla Rural Municipality-1. The victim sustained serious injuries in the left hand and in the head from the beating of her inebriated husband for staying in someone else's house in the snowy day on December 13. The victim had filed a complaint on December 13 and Rokaya was arrested based on the complaint, said the representative at Kaigaule Police Unit. The victim has been transported to Nepalgunj for further treatment on December 14, the police unit further reported.
