The 34-year-old man of Dhanushadham Municipality-3 arrested in connection with the bomb blast that took place in Chirreshwarnath Municipality-3 accused the police of torturing him in the jail.
The man, after being released from detention by the District Police Office Dhanusha, informed the INSEC District Representative of Dhanusha district of torturing during the detention.
According to the victim, two policemen, who came in a motorcycle from the temporary police post at Dhanushadham Municipality-8, took him to the police station at quarter to nine on December 15. Police beat the victim with a pipe at 2 am in the morning demanding the reason for the transplanting of the bomb, said the victim. The man was released a day later and was handed over to his parents. The victim has difficulties in walking from the assault of policemen.
