Police arrested 28-year-old Sunil Poudel of Kalika Rural Municipality-2 on December 15 on the charge of sexually abusing a 12-year-old Australian girl. 

The victim came with the accused who had been living in Australia to visit Nepal. The victim's family filed a complaint against the accused stating that he sexually abused the girl on December 14.

The accused, however, has denied the accusation. He shared that he tried to pick up the girl when she slipped and fell. 

The victim underwent a medical examination at District Hospital on December 15.
