Acting chief administrative officer of Aathbiskot municipality in Rukum West district, was attacked by a ward chair, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
An acting chief administrative officer of a municipality in Rukum West district of Karnali has been beaten up, allegedly by a ward chair and others on Wednesday evening.
Aathbiskot municipality’s acting chief administrative officer Ram Bahadur KC and information technology officer of the municipality office, Ganesh Chand, were assaulted, confirms the District Police Office. Police have arrested Keshar Man BK, the chair of ward 3, for his alleged involvement in the attack.
KC and Chand were returning to their residences from the office when BK hit them with a chain, it has been learned. KC has received five stitches on his head during primary treatment in the district headquarters Musikot. KC says he is going to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Chand has also sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, KC says he has asked concerned authorities to transfer him due to security reasons. He informs that he had a dispute with BK over settling arrears worth Rs 2.9 million.
