BARA: Police have taken under control a body of a woman who was being cremated in the district on Friday.
The woman is believed to have been murdered. Maltidevi Nuniya,38, a resident of Piparapati in Pachaurata municipality-1 is suspected to have been murder by her husband.
The half-burnt body of the woman has been taken into control for necessary investigation, Superintendent of Police Bikas Raj Khanal said. Ram Dayal Mahato, husband of Maltidevi, her in-laws absconded following the incident.
The incident was reported by the maternal side of Maltidevi, who is originally from Juyafar in Motihari of India. Police suspect dowry as the reason behind the murder of Maltidevi.
Further investigation is underway while a search has been initiated to nab the accused, SP Khanal said.
