KATHMANDU: Tension has flared in Chabahil area after students set a vehicle on fire for hitting a student of Pashupati Campus, this morning.
Agitating students have also disrupted vehicular movement at Chabahil area.
Shristi Panta, a student of BBS fourth year at Pashupati Campus, was struck by the vehicle, Ba 7 Kha 5930, near Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall. Injured Panta is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, police have taken the vehicle and its driver under control and investigating the case.
A huge security personnel have been deployed in the incident site. Few students have sustained injuries in the clash with police.
