Police, on December 28, arrested 69-year-old Jase Damai of Banfikot Rural Municipality-9 on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl. District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Sumit Khadka informed that Damai raped the girl on October 28.

Damai gave a thousand rupees to the girl to conceal the incident and threatened to kill if the girl spoke of the incident; therefore, the incident did not come out for a long time , police said.

Damai was arrested on the basis of the complaint of the family. The investigation is underway by extending the remand.
