Locals padlock municipality office accusing it of devaluing land price

Locals of Chandrapur Municipality-8, Rautahat padlocked municipality office on Tuesday accusing the municipality of setting under-par price for their land which lie along the proposed railway and railway station and are being acquired by the government for the same purpose. The work of municipality was halted after the padlock in office.
The locals of Chandrapur Municipality-8, Rautahat also obstructed the survey team of East West Railway at Betauna.
