Inmates in Nepalgunj cell protest against facilities cut
2019-10-31
Inmates in Nepalgunj jail staged a demonstration on October 31 protesting against the cut off of certain facilities to the prisoners. The prisoners who had been inside the jail protested by locking themselves up from inside the cell. After the jail administration appointed a new watchman, tensions have been reported as the watchman and his team cut off prisoners' services immediately after assuming responsibility.
