Police arrested 50-year-old Narayan Giri on February 1, 2020, on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl. Giri is a permanent resident of Gagchaur Municipality-10 and was residing in Kalimati Rural Municipality-4.
The accused allegedly raped the victim on July 27, 2019. Police arrested the accused based on a verbal complaint filed by the victim's family on January 31. The victim's party filed a written complaint against the accused on February 2, 2020.
The victim is currently 7 months pregnant. Her medical examination was conducted on February 2, 2020. Further investigation is underway.
