Pappu Gurung, a press advisor of Mahakali Municipality and a journalist of Abhiyan Nepali Daily, has been beaten by the police on Thursday while collecting news.
Journalist Gurung, who went to report the demonstration protesting the release of the person accused of encouraging suicide, said that the police beat him even after showing his identity card and seeing the camera in his hand. Journalist Gurung sustained serious injuries in his body and legs due to the police's baton attack.
