Police have beaten a health worker in Dharan accusing him of breaking lockdown. Sub-inspector Bhesh Bahadur Raut, head of Panpara police post in Dharan beat health worker Chandra Prakash Khanal with a pipe on Thursday accusing him of breaking lockdown. According to Khanal, the police beat him while he was going to Panmara from Dharan to perform dressing on a patient. Khanal has sustained a minor injury on his neck in the incident.
Sub-inspector Raut claimed that Khanal might have been beaten accidentally while dispersing crowd near Miteri Bank in Panmara.
