A group of youth carrying sharp weapons has assaulted the chairperson Nawal Bahadur Malla of Dadeldhura Ganyapadhura Rural Municipality over dissatisfaction about the distribution of relief.
Chairman of Ward No-21 Chetram Bhatta said the youths beat Chairman of Ganyapadhura Rural Municipality Nawal Bahadur Malla of Dadeldhura and also vandalized his house.
Chairman of Rural Municipality said the youths vandalized the house on Tuesday night expressing dissatisfaction over the relief distributed in the lockdown caused by the coronavirus.
Police have arrested three persons for involvement in the vandalism. The arrested are Chandra Karki, Dambar Karki, and Tek Bahadur Rawal of Ganyapadhura, said DSP Dadhiram Neupane of District Police Office, Dadeldhura.
