Area Police Office has arrested Shibu Chaudhary (21) of Mirchaiya Karjanha Municipality-2 on 5 May 2020 in accusation of raping a 15-year-old girl.

A complaint about the search was filed by the victim’s mother after they had eloped with each other. They were found on 27 April and were handed over to their families. Since they had eloped and married and the girl’s age is just 15 years, Chaudhary was charged for child marriage and rape, informed the victim’s mother. 

The victim is also equally charged of child marriage hence she was arrested on 5 May for further investigation, informed DSP Santulal Prasad Jaiswar. 

Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 6 May at the District Hospital of Siraha.
