Police, on May 12, arrested 26-year-old Sandesh Singh Thakuri of Gadawa Rural Municipality-6 on the charge of attempting rape on a 16-year-old girl on May 11. The accused allegedly tried to rape the girl midway when she was returning home from the shop.
