Cadres of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and supporters of Maan Bahadur Bhandari, Ward Chairperson of Palata Rural Municipality-2, and Bishnu Rokaya, NCP's Chairperson for Palata Rural Municipality, padlocked ward office on Wednesday after police arrested the two on the basis of a complaint filed against them by Chairperson of Palata Rural Municipality.
Police arrested them on the basis of a complaint lodged by Laxman Bahadur Bam, Chairperson of Palata Rural Municipality, against Bhandari and Rokaya at District Police Office, Kalikot. The complaint stated that his wife sustained an injury in an attack from Bhandari, and Rokaya over a dispute during the formation of the Consumer's Committee of Rural Road Project of Palata Rural Municipality-2.
