Indian national arrested on rape charge from Darchula

Police have arrested Guru Dev Rana (32) of India’s Nainital, currently residing in Darchula, on 14 May in accusation of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The victim was raped on 23 March 2020. The complaint was filed on 14 May 2020. A case was filed at the District Court on 15 May, informed Inspector Surendra Joshi.
The District Court has given seven days for further investigation.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 15 May 2020 on District Hospital, Darchula.
