A complaint was filed against Asharam Ram (20) of Krishnasabaran Rural Municipality-3 on 15 May in accusation of raping a 12-year-old mute girl. The accused was taken under control from the incident spot on 14 May and taken to the police station. He was later taken to the District Police Office for further processing. 

The accused has accepted his fault. The accused was beaten by the locals after he was caught.

Health checkup of the victim was conducted at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital on 14 May 2020.
