The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumer Protection have imposed a fine of Rs 200,000 on Ikalu Meat Center.
A fine has been imposed on the meat center after it was found that they are taking more than Rs 500 per kg of meat. "We fined Rs 200,000 for cheating consumers," said Sagar Mishra, director of the department's monitoring branch.
According to the department, a complaint was lodged against Ikalu for charging more. They imposed the fine based on the consumer's complaint.
