Family of a 20-year-old woman who was held hostage and raped filed a complaint against the District Police Office and District Government Attorney Office at National Human Rights Commission Butwal. The family filed the complaint on May 21 claiming that DPO and the district attorney office refused to register the complaint fearing contracting coronavirus.
22-year-old Riyasat Ansari, 25-year-old Ram Dayal Baniya, 20-year-old Dhanraj Tharu and 23-year-old Amit Kumar Chaudhari of Rohini Rural Municipality-5 allegedly held the 20-year-old woman hostage and raped her while she was returning from India on March 20.
