Passengers heading for Kalikot from Jhapa were beaten by the police at Lade of Birendranagar-14. Eight passengers have been injured in the beating. Passengers have blocked the Surkhet-Dailekh road saying that the police had beaten them without any reason. They blocked the road demanding action against police who assault them, treatment of the injured, and compensation for the lost belongings.
