Police on May 27 arrested family members and relatives of a 40-year-old woman including her 45-year-old brother-in-law, 43-year-old brother-in-law, 28-year-old brother-in-law, 26-year-old brother-in-law, 28-year-old nephew, and 22-year-old son on the charge of inhumane treatment towards her. They smeared soot and put on a garland of shoes to the victim. 

The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on May 26 stating that her relatives smeared soot, put a shoe garland on her, and kicked her out of the house on May 25 alleging her of having an affair.
