KK Mart and Dhanwantari Traders fined for surcharging customers

The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has  fined Rs 200,000 on KK Super Mart for selling alcohol at prices higher than the stated prices.

A monitoring team from the department found that the supermarket at Chhetrapati had sold alcoholic items for more than the maximum retail price ( MRP). The department said the store has been fined as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.

Similarly, the department also fined the Dhanwantari Traders of Hadigaun  Rs 200,000 as it was found selling Patanjali products  without issuing a bill.
