Traders of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 29 Maitidevi protested on Wednesday morning saying that they should be allowed to open shops for a longer time.
After the protest, Ward Chairman Kush Dhakal suggested opening the shop till 1 pm. "The traders protested, saying that the time to open the shop is not enough. Then I supported them to open the shop.", said Ward chairperson Dhakal.
Although he did not give permission on paper, he clarified that he supported them. However, the ward chairperson said that restaurants, hotels, and liquor shops will not be allowed to open. Although the government is mulling on changing the modality of the lockdown, it is yet to implement it.
