Police, on June 3, arrested 31-year-old Mohan Tamang of Panauti Municipality-4, Kavre on the charge of attempting rape on a 13-year-old girl. Mohan, who was living in Bhaktapur Municipality-2, had attempted rape on the girl in her room when her relatives were away to work in the garment industry. Tamang had absconded when the girl's uncle had entered the scene. Police arrested the absconding accused immediately after getting the information.
