Nepal Student Union (NSU), the sister organization of Nepali Congress, on June 7 demonstrated against all three levels of the government, citing their inability to work as per expectation. They also submitted a memorandum to the Chief District Officer (CDO) demanding the setting up of standard quarantine in every ward of the district, the increase in the capacity of PCR machine, the rescue of Nepalese stranded in the border, and immediate relief distribution to the needy among other demands.
Although Covid-19 treatment centre has been set up at Jaleswor Hospital in Mahottari District, the isolation centre has the capacity of 50 beds only. Many infected people are now out of isolation.
