Police intervened at a rally staged by Hindu youths on Sunday in Janakpur protesting against the selling of beef by slaughtering cows on June 4 in Biratnagar-17, Morang. The youths staged demonstration carrying placards calling for Hindu Unity, Praise of lord Ram and Hanuman and chanted slogans saying that they will not allow slaughtering cows.
Police arrested 28-year-old Sohil Miya on the charge of selling beef. Police arrested him along with 10 kg of beef while he was selling it as buffalo meat.
