A complaint was filed against Shankar BK (18) of Besisahar Municipality-9 on 7 June 2020 at the Legal Committee of the Besisahar Municipality-9, informed the Committee’s Coordinator Laxmi Adhikari in accusation of raping a 13-year-old.

The victim was raped on 27 October 2019 and she was pregnant because of the incident. The accused had threatened the victim because of which she could not make an early complaint.

Health checkup of the victim was conducted at the Community Hospital on 7 June 2020.

Since the victim is very young for being pregnant, she was referred to Chitwan Medical College for further treatment, informed Hemanta Shrestha, Chief Administrator of the Community Hospital.

The victim will be referred to the District Police Office after her recovery.
