Police have arrested Roshan Giri (24)of Ganyapdhura rural municipality-2 Kunwar Village on 10 June 2020 in accusation of killing his grandmother Radha Devi Giri (73) on 9 June 2020. He had attacked her with a heavy wooden object on her head.

Giri was arrested from Amargadi municipality-11 Finkekot’s forest on 10 June 2020 and is under the police custody for further investigation, informed DSP Dadhi Ram Neupane of the District Police Office.

According to him, the accused had injured the demised with a heavy wooden object after a domestic dispute and the victim’s family has also filed a complaint against him.

The victim died while she was being taken to the hospital for treatment, informed the District Police Office.
