Locals of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-17 staged a protest demonstration on Sunday demanding action against the culprit of cow slaughtering. 

They have protested demanding action against 28-year-old Sohil Mian, who was arrested on the charge of slaughtering a cow and selling it as buffalo meat at Pratik Tol in Biratnagar-17 on June 4. 

The locals have protested saying that the political protectors are trying to save Miya from legal action.

Meanwhile, the World Hindu Council Nepal's District Executive Committee, Morang has handed over a memorandum to the Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office demanding action against the accused.
