Police on June 23 arrested 35-year-old Raju Lohani of Tansen Municipality-3 on the accusation of attempting to rape a 46-year-old woman. 

The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on June 23, alleging that the accused, who is living on rent in Beni Municipality-7, had tried to rape her on June 23.  

Inspector Dhruva Prasad Sharma of the District Police Office, Myagdi informed the INSEC representative that the police have arrested the accused based on the complaint. 

Prakash Subedi, Information Officer of Beni Hospital, informed that both the victim and the accused underwent health checkup at Beni Hospital on June 23.
