Beauticians and salon operators in Parsa staged a demonstration in the clock tower of Birgunj on Sunday demanding permission to open beauty parlours and salons.
They demanded to create the environment of opening salons and beauty parlours by adopting security precautions.
Urmila Thapa, president of the Beauticians' Association of Parsa, said that they were compelled to protest as no one cared about their demands. The demonstrators also demanded waiver of rents, interest on bank loans for the lockdown period and other relief packages.
