Police on June 27 arrested 19-year-old Namraj Chadara of Tilagura Municipality-5 on the charge of raping an 18-year-old girl. 

It is alleged that the accused raped the girl in a cowshed on June 25. According to DSP Shyam Olia of the District Police Office, Kalikot, police have arrested the accused, and a case has been registered against him on June 27. The victim had telephoned the INSEC district representative after the accused's side tried to settle the incident in the village. The victim had lodged the complaint at the Khallagad Police Post in Tilagufa Municipality after the INSEC representative coordinated with DSP Olia.  

Basmati Shahi, Health post-in-charge, said that the victim underwent a health checkup at Tilagufa Health Post on June 27.
