Teachers of private schools in Chitwan have come to the streets and demanded salaries after private schools refused to pay them salaries. They staged a silent demonstration at Chauviskothi in Bharatpur organized by the Institutional School Teachers Union (ISTU). Teachers said that they felt an obligation to demonstrate as they were not paid salary under the pretext of lockdown.
They have been protesting saying that they have not been paid for six months, some schools have not paid for a year and teachers have not been paid under the pretext of lockdown.
